Comverse Launches Converged IPCentrex Solution: An Integrated Fixed And Mobile Business Communication Solution
Comverse IPCentrex Solution Enables Service Providers To Deploy Hosted Communication Services Designed To Increase Enterprise Customer Loyalty
NEW YORK, NY, October 9, 2006 - Comverse, a subsidiary of Comverse Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: CMVT), and the world's leading supplier of software and systems enabling network-based multimedia enhanced communication and billing services, today announced the launch of Converged IPCentrex Solution, an integrated fixed and mobile communication solution for the delivery of seamless business services over broadband and mobile networks.
Comverse's Converged IPCentrex Solution enables service providers to offer attractive and cost-effective hosted bundles of enterprise voice, video and messaging services. Converged IPCentrex Solution can be deployed by integrated service providers, fixed-line carriers, mobile operators, ISPs and MVNOs to provide enterprises with a full range of hosted communication services. PBX functionality, attendant services and fixed/mobile virtual private networks (VPNs) can be delivered by Comverse's Converged IPCentrex Solution across cellular phones, IP phones and/or dual-mode Wi-Fi/cellular handsets.
Based on Comverse's proven Mobile PBX and Netcentrex IPCentrex technologies, Converged IPCentrex Solution uses an IMS-ready SIP architecture to enable seamless service convergence across wireless and wireline networks.
The seamless fixed-mobile convergence permits service providers the ability to offer their corporate customers with the following benefits:
- Improved Cost Control by minimizing the cost of internal and external communications
- Increased Productivity by improving opportunities for employee collaboration, increasing reachability and providing personalized services for different employee work styles
- Enhanced Customer Service by ensuring constant access to calls and messages across fixed and mobile domains
"Employee communication needs vary depending on whether a person is desk-bound, a remote worker, a commuter or a road warrior. By providing seamless access over all devices to personalized communication, information and mobility services, Comverse's Converged IPCentrex Solution enables businesses to tailor services to the specific needs of different employee work styles," states Olivier Hersent, CTO of Comverse. "Converged IPCentrex Solution is a complete solution designed to enhance an enterprise FMC service."
"Comverse's technology is suited both to operators who wish to focus on fixed-line hosted telephony and those who want to offer a pure mobile solution," said Jean-Charles Doineau, Service Infrastructure Practice Leader at Ovum. "This gives operators the flexibility to deploy a combination of services customized to employee work styles and to forge stronger relationships with enterprise customers."
Live demos of Comverse's Converged IPCentrex Solution will be shown at the Comverse stand (#8002) at the Broadband World Forum in Paris, France, October 9-12.
