Based in Ottawa, Canada, Conrad has been working with Newbury Ventures since 2001. Conrad is currently Executive Chairman of E-Sight Corporation, a company developing solutions for vision correction. Conrad was previously Executive Vice President of the Access and Network Management Product Group at Newbridge Networks, which he helped grow over 14 years from a pre-revenue private company to a global public company. Prior to Newbridge, he was Executive Vice President of R&D of Mitel, where he designed their original PBX product that generated $2 billion of revenues. Conrad holds six patents in digital communications. He finished top of his class in Electrical Engineering at Queen's University in Kingston, Canada and has completed a variety of post-graduate courses in both Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Carleton University and the University of Ottawa.
